Akira Overwater Resort Bigi Pan is located in the West of Suriname on the Mangrove area. This unique resort is built entirely on the water and consists of 17 detached lodges, an atmospheric restaurant and a lobby. The lodges and the main building are connected by wooden walkways. Seen from the air, the resort has the shape of a “tilapia”, a common fish species in Bigi Pan.

For the best view of the lake, there is a bird tower 12  meter high where you can relax and enjoy the view from above.

The fully air conditioned lodges are roomy (50m2) have a spacious balcony, where you have a beautiful view over the lake and can enjoy a spectacular sunset or sunrise. Each lodge is equipped for 3 people and has its own bathroom and toilet.

Akira has an atmospheric and cozy restaurant where fresh meals are prepared daily. Dietary restriction are taken into account when preparing meals.

Akira is totally GREEN, Electricity is available 24 hours a day and is generated by solar panels.
