Suriname has many creative talented people. Quite a few of these people have actually developed their talents and are successful both at home and abroad.
Since 2016, the G-ArtBlok Foundation has been offering quarterly block courses and presentations in the field of visual arts; mainly drawing and painting. In addition, there is active participation in exchange projects both at home and abroad.
The goal of G-ArtBlok is to stimulate, maintain and further develop art expressions and cultural life in Suriname, by means of creative and intensive art forms.
In a stimulating Artblok, we offer a very wide variety of fascinating courses/workshops at every level. You will not only learn everything about the different techniques and materials, but also how you can turn your own ideas into surprising works of art. All this under the guidance of inspiring teachers/visual artists.

Through surprising exercises, new techniques, perspectives and ideas, experimenting, discovering and getting creative to create your own unique work of art. Just dare and do and step by step in a classroom way with plenty of room for your own creativity and development. At the moment, more than 60 pupils and students are following the block course.
